2017 RC Laser North American Championship
Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas
January 28-29, 2017
RULES: The regatta will be governed by the “rules” as defined in the Rules of Sailing, as modified by Appendix E, Notice of Race and sailing instructions, and the AMYA RC Laser Class Rules.
ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to all owners of RC Lasers
RACING: Format will be determined by the number of entries. Racing will be scored under the low point system.
SAILING LOCATION: Point Dock/Snappas and/or Marsh Harbour Marina (Jib Room)
VERY IMPORTANT
In order to avoid paying a 50% customs duty on your boat upon entering the Bahamas, You will need to email your sail number and a scan or photo of the photo page of your passport to Jim Kaighin, prior to November 15th. Jim will submit this information for pre-approval by the Ministry of Tourism and the Customs Department. There are no fees to be on this, and it does not register you for the regatta. But if you are not on the list you’ll have to pay 50% customs duty on the value of a new boat. No registration will be accepted until this information is received. ENTRY: Regatta will be limited to 30 boats. Skippers may be entered by completing online entry form and submitting it prior to December 15th, 2016. No registration will be accepted without the regatta chairman receiving the customs form prior to November 15th 2016.
