Oxford RC Laser 2011 Fleet Dinner

The Oxford RC Laser Fleet celebrated another successful year of racing at its annual awards dinner. Thirty-two people enjoyed the festivities. Awards were presented for both the Spring and Fall series and Tot O’Mara and Bonnie Richards were presented gifts for their PRO and scoring efforts. These ladies do a GREAT job of keeping us all in line.

Roger Baldwin received the “Most Valuable Player” award (a new “A” sail) for all he has done for the fleet this year – building marks, helping regularly on the mark boat, etc. Roger B was also voted in as our new RC Laser Fleet Captain for 2012 – Thank You Roger!!

Dave Branning made sure we had an ongoing slide show of this year’s events plus he brought his newest family addition – a beautiful radio controlled model of a classic “J” boat (Click here to see the picture!) He could only bring the hull inside since the mast stands TEN FEET off the deck! I cannot wait to see her under full sail at TAYC come spring.

I would like to thank all the wonderful cooks in the fleet that provided our delicious dinner. What a great year-end event!!
