Upcoming Regatta Report
We are off to a great start in 2016, with eight regattas in the first four months, and more to come. Let’s support all the folks that run these great events for us, by attending, and registering early for each event.
This is a good time to thank all those RC Laser North American skippers who supported the class with their donation / membership of $10 last year, and those who have already donated for this year. That $10 goes a long way to provide funds to keep our web site running, supporting regattas that use the Gold, Silver sailing and awards system, and other new programs that will promote RC Laser sailing in North America. RC Laser Southern Circuit
The four RC Laser Southern Circuit regattas are filling up fast. If you intend to go to any or all of them and haven’t registered yet, do it now with the links provided below. At this time the March 5th and 6th Marco Island Mid-Winter Championship Regatta is sold out. There are still openings for the South East Florida Winter Regatta, February 21st at Sabal Pines Lake in Coconut Creek FL, The Villages Winter Regatta February 28th, and just a few openings for the March 3rd Punta Gorda Snowbird Tune-up. Regattas will be limited to 30 boats and the number of registrations will determine if the Gold, Silver fleet system for sailing and awards will be used. Our sailor’s gift this year for the first three regattas is shirts where sizing is important. We can guarantee correct sizes for all registrations prior to February 12th. After that date we will try our best to meet your size requirements.

First RC Laser Texas Regatta: AMYA president Ray Seta has set March 5th for the first Alamo Classic RC Laser Regatta. This will be a great regatta to try out that new RC Laser!
Geezer Gatta: If your over 55 years old this is the regatta for you. Randy McDonald and the RC Laser Fleet from Lake Providence, TN hold the best over 55 regatta in the country! April 23rd and 24th is the date. The place, Del Web Lake at Providence, just a few miles from the Nashville Airport. See you there.
National Championship Regatta: Save this date: May 14th and 15th. The NOR and registration link will soon be available. Register soon, as this promises to be another sell out regatta. Virginia Beach is right in the middle of all the RC Lasers in the Middle Atlantic States.
