NOTICE OF RACE

2017 RC Laser National Championship Regatta

May 19, 20, 21, 2017

RULES: The regatta will be governed by the “rules” as defined in the Rules of Sailing, as modified by Appendix E, Notice of Race and sailing instructions, and the AMYA RC Laser Class Rules.

ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to all boats recorded with the AMYA RC Laser Class and members of the AMYA or current card carrying members of a foreign rc sailing organization. Discounted AMYA memberships will be available to new members. Membership includes a subscription to Model Yachting Magazine.

SCHEDULE:

Friday
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm	Registration, Boat Measurement, Practice Races, Lake Naomi
6:00 pm	Skippers and friends get together at Timber Trails Club House 238 Centennial Trail, Pocono Pines, PA. DINNER MENU Orange chipotle grilled chicken Grilled pork tenderloin au poivre mustard dijon Mediterranean vegetable kabobs lemon basil pesto Choice of fries or baked potato with salad $14.00 per person plus drinks, tax, gratuity Credit Card Only for meals and bar (No Cash)
Saturday
8:30 am	Registration, Boat Measurement
9:30 am	Skippers Meeting
10:00 am	Racing begins Seeding, then Gold and Silver Fleets
Mid-day	Lunch break Racing continues
4:00 pm	No races will start
6:00 pm	Cocktails at Lake Naomi Club House
7:00 pm	Dinner at Lake Naomi Club 135 Miller Dr, Pocono Pines, PA DINNER MENU Salad station Haddock fricassee simmered in a white wine cream sauce Asiago crusted chicken breast with grilled fennel, fresh pear and celery root Dijon glazed roasted pork loin with an apple-jack demi glaze Mashed potatoes – rice pilaf Complimentary splash of Cielo rose’ at each setting Dessert station Food, tip, tax paid with registration. Bar: Credit Card Only (No Cash).
Sunday
9:30 am	Skippers Meeting
10:00am	Racing continues for Gold and Silver Fleets
Mid-day	Lunch break
3:00pm	No races will start
3:30 pm	Awards

SAILING LOCATION: Lake Naomi 135 Miller Dr, Pocono Pines, PA 18350

ENTRY: Regatta will be limited to 30 boats.
Eligible boats and skippers may be entered by completing online registration Entry Form and submitting it prior to May 7th, 2017 with an entry fee of $65. Entry fee includes coffee and light fare, lunch Saturday and Sunday, Trophies for Gold and Silver Fleets (with registration over 20 boats), other individual awards, and sailor’s gift.
