2016 RC Laser National Championship Regatta

This year will mark the 4th National Championship regatta of the AMYA RC Laser Class.
Being held on May 14th and 15th at Virginia Beach, VA., Duncan Bell along with RC Laser Class secretary Nick Mortgu, worked along with members of the Tidewater RC Laser fleet to host this championship.
David Brawner of Mt. Laurel, NJ won the 2015 National Championship in The Villages, FL followed by 2nd place finisher Dave Ramos of Stevensville, MD, and Jon Luscomb of Palm Beach Gardens, FL in third.
Who will be the winner of this year’s regatta? You have to compete to win. Enter early. Registration is limited to the first 30 entries.
Please take note that the last two RC Laser National Championship Regattas were sold out, as well as the last two regattas in the 2016 RC Laser Southern Circuit. We expect another sell out at this year’s National Championship Regatta in Virginia Beach in May. If you think you’re going to attend, register today. Don’t wait!
For registering from now to the end of March you will receive an RC Laser Class hat and a chance to win a free registration to next year’s Nationals.

RULES: The regatta will be governed by the “rules” as defined in the Rules of Sailing, as modified by Appendix E, Notice of Race and sailing instructions, and the AMYA RC Laser Class Rules.
ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to all boats recorded with the AMYA RC Laser Class and members of the AMYA or current card carrying members of a foreign rc sailing organization. Discounted AMYA memberships will be available to new members. Membership includes a subscription to Model Yachting Magazine.

SAILING LOCATION: Lake Christopher Landing Park, Between 1524 and 1548 Lake Christopher Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23464
ENTRY: Regatta will be limited to 30 boats.
Eligible boats and skippers may be entered by completing online registration Entry Form and submitting it prior to April 30th, 2016 with an entry fee of $60. Entry fee includes coffee and light fare, lunch Saturday and Sunday, Trophies for Gold and Silver Fleets (with registration over 20 boats), other individual awards, and sailor’s gift.
