NOTICE OF RACE

1st Annual Cape May RC Laser Regatta

Organized by the South Jersey Model YC and the Corinthian YC of Cape May

WELCOME: We are a new and growing RC Laser Fleet and we want to share a terrific venue and hospitality with other RC Laser skippers. This is our first annual RC Laser event at Corinthian YC and we welcome all RC Laser skippers to join us for a fun day of racing.

ELIGIBILITY: Bring an RC Laser. Regatta is limited to 26 boats. Register early.

SCHEDULE: Sunday, September 19, 2021

We will supply drinks and a pizza lunch at the break. Awards presentation will follow as soon as final scores are tabulated.

RULES: The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017, as amended by Appendix E for RC sailing, prescriptions of US Sailing, and further Sailing Instructions as announced by the Race Director during the course of event.

FORMAT: We will sail one fleet if less than 16 boats but will divide into gold and silver fleets if 16 to 26 boats participate.

SCORING: The event will be scored under the Low Point System described in the Racing Rules of Sailing Appendix A. For each 7 races sailed, a boat’s worst score will be excluded.

PRIZES: Will be awarded to the top 3 skippers in each fleet if there is a Gold and Silver Fleet (more than 15 boats).
