HOST: Sarasota Model Yacht Club

LOCATION: Green Parrot Lake, 5700 Athletes Drive Sarasota FL

RULES: The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current edition of Racing Rules of Sailing as modified by Appendix E, the sailing instructions, the AMYA RC Laser Class rules and by local conditions as necessary.

ENTRIES: 30 boat maximum. Skippers can enter online at www.rclaser.org, or by the direct entry form link: https://form.jotform.com/200086556177963/

ELIGIBILITY: The Regatta is a Region 7 Championship with participants being members of AMYA

FOOD AND DRINK: Lunch and beverages will be provided.

SCHEDULE: Wednesday February 26, 2025
9:00am Registration
9:30am Skippers meeting
10:00am Racing begins
Mid-day Lunch Break
3:00 pm No race will begin after 3:00pm. Prizes to follow

FORMAT: Will be announced at the event depending on the number of boats.
Single fleet or Gold/Silver fleets.

ENTRY FEE: The entry fee will be $30.00. Lunch, Skippers Gift and Awards are included.

SCORING: The event will be scored under the Low Point System described in the Racing Rules of Sailing Appendix A. There will be one throw out race after the first six races have been scored. Ties will be broken according to Appendix A section 8.1 and 8.2.

PRIZES: The number of awards given will reflect the number of participants. Skippers who have won three or more 1st Place Silver Fleet awards shall be moved to the bottom of the Gold Fleet if they fail to qualify for the Gold Fleet. The skipper will keep all points earned in the seeding races. The last place skipper in the Gold fleet will have the option to stay in the Gold Fleet or move to the top of the Silver Fleet.
