2019 RC Laser St. Patrick’s Day Regatta

RULES: This event will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2017-2020, as amended by Appendix E for RC sailing, prescriptions of US Sailing, the RC Laser class rules, the RC Laser St. Patrick’s Day Sailing Instructions and further instructions as announced by the PRO/Race Committee during the event. Changes to the racing rules or class rules are noted in the specific instructions where they apply.
ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to all AMYA RC Laser Class members with boats recorded with the AMYA or current card-carrying members of a foreign radio control sailing organization.
SCHEDULE:

9:30AM | Skipper’s Meeting |
10:00AM | Racing Begins (Depending on number of participants, Seeding Races, then Gold and Silver) |
Mid-Day | Lunch Break Racing continues |
3:30PM | Racing complete. No race will start Results will follow as soon as final scores are tabulated |
LOCATION: Racing will be held at the Raritan Yacht Club, 160 Water Street, Perth Amboy, NJ
ENTRY: Eligible boats and skippers may be entered by completing the online registration entry form and submitting it prior to March 10, 2019. Regatta will be limited to 30 boats. Entry fee of $20 (payable via on-line registration) includes coffee & light fare breakfast, soft drinks, lunch (sandwiches & hot stew), and trophies for Gold and Silver Fleets (with registration of over 16 boats).

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Sailing instructions are available on the RC Laser Fleet page on the Raritan Yacht Club website at: http://www.ryc.org/Default.aspx?p=dynamicmodule&pageid=90&ssid=100117&vnf=1
SCORING: The event will be scored under the Low Point System described in the Racing Rules of Sailing Appendix A. For each 5 races sailed, a boat’s worst score will be excluded.
AWARDS: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each fleet.
MEASUREMENTS & EQUIPMENT: A boat and her equipment may be inspected at any time for compliance with class rules and sailing instructions.
