NOTICE OF RACE

2016 South East Florida Winter Regatta

HOST: Sabal Pines RC Laser Fleet & Sabal Pines Model Yacht Club

LOCATION: Racing will be at Sabal Pines Park 5005 NW 39th Ave. Coconut Creek, FL 33073

RULES: The racing will be governed by the 2013-16 Racing Rules of Sailing, as amended by the United States Sailing prescriptions and incorporating Appendix E-Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules, the current RC Laser Class Rules and further sailing instructions mandated by the PRO during the course of the sailing day by announcing the changes.

ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to all RC Lasers.

FOOD AND DRINK: Subs and beverages will be provided.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Sunday, February 21st, 2016
10:00 am	Registration
11:00 am	Skippers meeting
11:30 am	Racing begins
12:30 pm	Lunch Break
1:15 pm	Racing Continues
4:00 pm	No race to begin after 4pm. Prizes to follow

FORMAT: Will be announced at the event depending on the number of boats.

ENTRY FEE: The entry fee will be $20. Lunch and prizes are included.

SCORING: The event will be scored under the Low Point System described in the Racing Rules of Sailing Appendix A. For every 6 races sailed, a boat’s worst score will be excluded. Ties will be broken according to Appendix A section 8.1 and 8.2.

PRIZES: Trophies will be awarded to the top three skippers.
