RULES: This event will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing for 2021-2024, Appendix E of the Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US Sailing, the AMYA RC Laser Class Rules, the Sailing Instructions, this Notice of Race, and further instructions as announced by the Race Committee during the event.
RRS 31 is changed to read “While racing, a boat shall not touch a starting mark while starting, or a finishing mark while finishing.”
ELIGIBILITY: All entrants must be AMYA members in good standing, or current card-carrying members of a foreign radio control sailing organization, and have registered their boats with the RC Laser class association. AMYA membership can be obtained at https://www.theamya.org, boats may be registered at https://rclaser.org.
ENTRY AND FEES: Entries are limited to 30 boats.
Registration fee is $75, and includes Breakfast (Saturday and Sunday), Lunch (Saturday and Sunday) and Dinner (Saturday evening).
Registration may only be completed online at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/wsepOXBPyd. Guest lunches ($12) and guest dinners ($22) can be purchased when registering.
Entries must be submitted and paid for by October 21st, 2023. There is no registration at the event.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Sailing instructions will be available no later the day of the regatta.
VENUE: The regatta will be sailed off the main dock at the Metedeconk River Yacht Club located at 43 Tilton Road, Brick, NJ 08723.
Guests are welcome, however to limited space on the main dock, visitors who are not competing shall not be permitted on the main dock while racing is in progress. Racing can be observed from the club balcony.
SCORING: The scoring system as defined in RRS Appendix A shall be used.
Seeding races will be run on Saturday to determine placement in either the Gold or Silver fleet.
Group heat racing will apply for seeding races.
When 6 races or more have been completed in the seeding races, a boat’s score shall be the total of her races scores excluding her worst score. This modifies Appendix A2.1.
Gold and Silver fleet races will be run on Sunday. A boat’s series score for Gold or Silver does not include scores from the seeding races.
Boats will be divided into Gold and Silver fleets based on the results from the seeding races.
When 6 races or more have been completed in Gold or Silver races, a boat’s score shall be the total of her races scores excluding her worst score. This modifies Appendix A2.1.
PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded to the top placing skippers in Gold and Silver fleet.
