RULES: The regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024, as amended by Appendix E for RC sailing, prescriptions of World Sailing, rules of the RC Laser class, and further Sailing Instructions attached here or announced by the Race Director during the course of the event.
ELIGIBILITY: The regatta is open to all members of the American Model Yachting Association (AMYA) with RC Lasers conforming to current class rules. To join AMYA go to: http://www.theamya.org/join/
LOCATION: Lake Crabtree County Park near RDU International Airport, Raleigh, NC: https://goo.gl/maps/SceBisu9D8ZwJxuj8 The site is at the end of the park road, past the boat ramp.
SCHEDULE: Saturday September 30 (one day only)

SCORING: The event will be scored under the Low Point System described in the Racing Rules of SailingAppendix A. For each 6 races sailed, a boat’s worst score will be excluded. For every increment of 6 additional races sailed, one additional worst score will be excluded from her overall score. Ties will be broken according to Appendix A section 8.1 and 8.2.
PRIZES: Trophies will be awarded to the top three skippers.
WHAT TO BRING: High boots or water shoes – launching is by wading from shore. And a folding chair.
LODGING: There are numerous hotels with a range of prices near the regatta site; search for hotels near RDU airport. Contact Neil Saunders for help with logistics if needed.
