North Americans to Carolina

The 2014 RC Laser North American Championship has been awarded to the Triangle Model YC in Raleigh, NC, for September 27 and 28, 2014. The sailing venue is Lake Crabtree County Park, Morrisville, NC (near the RDU airport, I-40 exit 285 south).

See this group above? Tough bunch. They own Lake Crabtree or at least they are the hottest Laser sailors on Lake Crabtree.

So you think you are a pretty good RC Laser sailor? Let’s see if you can beat the Carolina guys on their home lake. Many have tried but no one outside of TMYC has won a Laser regatta on Lake Crabtree! So start practicing and note these additional incentives to give Lake Crabtree a try in September:

  • Two Fleets, Gold and Silver, plenty of prizes in each
  • Easy drive from PA, NJ, MD, VA, SC, GA, FL, WV, TN
  • Good competition…note above hot shots!
  • Choice of convenient hotels…all close and not too pricey!
  • Terrific sailing venue…it’s a big lake!
  • Smokey’s serious barbecue…big reason to show up!
  • It’s the North American Championship! Great Competition!
  • Free North American Championship hoody (top quality Hanes sweatshirt) to the first 25 skippers to register.
