Rock Hall RC Laser Regatta set for September 14th
The Rock Hall YC and the Rock Hall Laser fleet is set to go for their annual regatta September 14, 2013. This really fun one day regatta is special as it is held in a quiet body of water with ample parking, and a great spirited yacht club as host. Rock Hall Fall RC Laser Regatta
Saturday, September 14, 2013
The Rock Hall Yacht Club’s RC Laser Fleet will host Rock Hall Fall RC Laser Regatta on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The Rock Hall YC is a full service club and a great place to sail, with plenty of open water and dock space on the Langford Bay.
RULES: The racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, as amended by the United States Sailing prescriptions and incorporating Appendix E‐Radio Controlled Boat Racing Rules, the current RC Laser Class Rules and further sailing instructions mandated by the PRO during the course of the sailing day by announcing the changes.
ELIGIBILITY: All RC Laser sailors are welcome to register and race. All boats must conform to RC Laser Class Rules.
RISK: All competitors are ultimately responsible for the inherent risks associated with sailboat racing. It is the competitor’s decision to enter the regatta and to start or continue any race. Each competitor will accept full responsibility for all his/her actions during any activity related to the event. This includes on-shore activities before, during, and after the regatta.
REGISTRATION: Eligible participants may register for the Regatta by going to the RHYC Official website at www.rockhallyachtclub.org and following the link to the Regattas and online registration. There will be on site registration Saturday, September 14 from 0900 until 1000.
FEES: The entry fee is $13 per boat. All RHYC facilities including the full service RHYC Restaurant and Bar shall be available to competitors and their families/friends. There will be a $10 charge for electrical hookup for RV campers, payable at the registration desk or to the RHYC Manager. Reservations for Saturday Dinner can be made onsite.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Saturday 9/14
0900–1000: Registration/Check-in
1030: Practice starts and race
1050: Skippers meeting
1100: Races begin
1230: Lunch Break
1315: Racing continues
No race will start after 1500 on Saturday
Awards as soon as possible following racing in the clubhouse
1800: Dinner is available but not included in registration fee for sailors, members and guests at the club.
AWARDS: Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall, 1st Junior overall, and 1st female overall.
FACILITIES & LODGING: Full service clubhouse with a pool, bar and meals, restrooms and showers open 24/7. Camping is available and welcome at the club but please check with a club representative for instructions on where to camp or park your RV.
